Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) : Be3Al2Si6O18

Gilgit, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan

Superb, water-clear gem crystal , as i think is conveyed in the pics quite nicely. Note also the perfect, complexly bevelled termination! There are interesting inclusions in the lower 1.5 cm or so (schorl?) that add to teh visual value because they float so nicely and contrast with the blue aqua itself. weight = 23 grams 5.1 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm

Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) : Be3Al2Si6O18, Feldspar Group

Gilgit, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan

3.7 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm. A fantastic mini of aqua on matrix! The aquamarine is PRISTINE, super-gemmy, complete and undamaged all around and with a perfect termination. It has been trimmed out with just enough matrix to accent it and act as a natural base; it projects out at a very pleasing 45 degree angle. It is clear as glass, so much so that you can ...

Gilgit, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan

3.4 x 1.8 x 1.1 cm. A doubly-terminated, top gem crystal of aquamarine, with a perfect complement of attached albite, from Pakistan. Rarely do you see a specimen such as this with both of the terminations intact -it is hard to tell how they got it out this way!

Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) : Be3Al2Si6O18

Gilgit, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan

Let me say right off that this specimen does have one clean repair right at the base, not visible unless you are really looking for it. This being said, it is a very large, stunning matrix aqua specimen that just about any collector at any level would be proud of. The crystal measures 8.5 cm (!!) from its base to the PERFECT termination, and is ...
