Parabutlerite : Fe3+[OH|SO4] · 2H2O

Kavir-e-Sagand, Saghand (Sagand; Saqand), Yazd Province, Iran

A 19 mm wide specimen of parabutlerite from the mines in the Yazd region consisting of dark orange crystals on top of a polycrystalline matrix. Identification confirmed by chemical analysis, optical properties and crystal morphology.
