Quartz matrix partially coated on all sides with yellow micro crystals of phosphuranylite. Under magnification distinct crystals are easily seen. Originally collected by Ray and Alvin Schortmann ca. 1938-40. Ex. R. D. O'Donnell collection #F-36. Overall size of mineral specimen: 6.5x3x3 cm.

A small specimen of brilliant yellow uranium secondaries, probably largely phospuranylite and autunite, on quartz matrix. Tiny elongated crystals are visible under magnification in some areas and phosphuranylite is also present on the reverse of the piece. The specimen shows weak green fluorescence in some areas.
