Oka complex, Oka, Deux-Montagnes RCM, Laurentides, Québec, Canada 7.0 x 5.1 x 3.5 cm. Pyrochlore is an uncommon niobium oxide, found in unusual igneous rocks, such as nepheline syenites and carbonatites, and some granitic pegmatites. The Oka area hosts a classic carbonatite complex.
