Pyroxmangite : MnSiO3, Galena : PbS | |

Broken Hill, Yancowinna Co., New South Wales, Australia Pyroxmangite crystal in galena, Broken Hill, NSW. My first significant specimen (a gift from my beloved late Nana), still on display in my cabinet after ~40 years. Its name has changed though from garnet to spessartine to rhodonite to pyroxmangite! Its about 40mm long. My photograph. |
