Exquisite scepter formation of black quartz stem 14 mm long by 4 mm thick with a cap of clear quartz variety Herkimer Diamond 14 mm long by 9 mm diameter. The black stem can be clearly seen extending into the clear cap. See article in Rocks and Minerals. Overall size of mineral specimen: 25x9x6 mm. Size of individual crystals: 14 mm.

Unusual barbell formation of black quartz stem wit clear Herkimer Diamonds on both ends and small one in the middle. No point of contact. A perfect, clear, double-terminated Herkimer quartz crystal sits upon a gray matrix with peach colored dolomite crystals. Crystal is just under 2 cm. Found at the Treasure Mountain Mine. Self-collected and in the personal collection of J. Wingard.

Two Herkimer Quartz Crystals in a scepter formation. Crystals were originally transparent but developed minor internal fractures due to vapor pressure shortly after removal from pocket. Self-collected in 2001. Approximately 5.2 cm tall.
