Mumba cassiterite gravels, Mumba, Masisi Mts, Nord-Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre)

Rankamaite, dirty brownish and fibrous masses on heavily altered simpsonite,
with inclusions of cassiterite and manganotantalite from the TL. This is one of the largest found, 200 grs. 6.5 x 4 cm, collected by Alexander Safiannikoff, who first found the mineral; consult STEIN 38 (2), p.21-28. Photo & collection: Roy Kristiansen.

Ognevka Ta Deposit, Kalba Range, Shyghys Qazaqstan Oblysy (Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya [Eastern-Kazakhstan] Oblast'), Kazakhstan

2 mm nest of fibrous rankamaite, surrounded by a rim of lithiowodginite/wodginite.
