Darra-i-Pech (Darra-e-Pech) Pegmatite Field, Nangarhar (Ningarhar) Province, Afghanistan

16.0 x 9.9 x 6.9 cm. A 4.5 cm GEM crystal of tourmaline, a beautiful light pastel pink color, on a matrix of glittery albite. The tourmaline is a superb compound crystal with all terminations complete and shining with glassy bevels. The crystal stands well out from the matrix and is exposed all around.

Paprok, Nuristan Province (Nurestan; Nooristan), Afghanistan

A gorgeous, glassy, translucent/transparent , richly pink tourmalien from THE classic locality for "bubblegum pinks," in Afghanistan. Fewer of these have come out of late, though. It is complete all around and pristine, save only for the uneven bottom (and that can be clipped if it bothers anybody...i kinda like it as a natural pedestal). 5.1 x ...

Paprok, Nuristan Province (Nurestan; Nooristan), Afghanistan

11.6 x 7.5 x 7.3 cm. A remarkable single crystal with much more elegance, due to its splaying form, than you would normally expect of a single large tourmaline. It is complete and nearly perfect all around, 3-Dimensional, and without repair. Note how the top of the piece elegantly splays out from the narrower base, making this less "lumpy" than ...
