Taimyr (Oktyabr'skoye; Oktyabr'sky) Cu-Ni deposit, Noril'sk, Putoran Plateau, Taimyr Peninsula, Taymyrskiy Autonomous Okrug, Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Inclusions of grey grains of Shadlunite in slightly oxidized bronze Talnaknite grain. Associating mineral is galena, forming small light grey often tabular crystals. Polished section in reflected light. FOV is ~1.1x0.8 mm. Additional images under smaller magnification given as daughter photos. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.

Taimyr (Oktyabr'skoye; Oktyabr'sky) Cu-Ni deposit, Noril'sk, Putoran Plateau, Taimyr Peninsula, Taymyrskiy Autonomous Okrug, Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Inclusions of grey Shadlunite in slightly oxidized small grain of bronze Talnaknite within dark-grey Magnetite "matrix". It is interesting to compare colour of shadlunite with another mineral of the group - Pentlandite - its small light-yellow rounded grain is present on the bottom of the image. Small light-grey galena crystals are dessiminated ...

Taimyr (Oktyabr'skoye; Oktyabr'sky) Cu-Ni deposit, Noril'sk, Putoran Plateau, Taimyr Peninsula, Taymyrskiy Autonomous Okrug, Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Inclusions of elongated grey grains of Shadlunite in slightly oxidized bronze Talnaknite matrix. Associating mineral are galena, forming small light grey often tabular crystals, more bright creamy grains of Taimyrite also present, and in the left lower corner the fragment of native Silver film, covering all talnakhite grain, is partially visible. ...
