Sodalite : Na8[Cl2|Al6Si6O24], Cancrinite : Na6Ca2[(CO3)2|Al6Si6O24] · 2H2O, Hydronephelite, Gibbsite : Al(OH)3, Diaspore : AlO(OH), Natrolite : Na2[Al2Si3O10] · 2H2O

Dennis Hill locality (Litchfield sodalite locality), Litchfield, Kennebec Co., Maine, USA

Blue sodalite surrounded by "white sodalite" (=hydronephelite) and associated brownish yellow cancrinite. FOV = 6.5 x 3 cm. Dennis Hill is the type locality for hydronephelite, but this material was subsequently discovered to be a fine-grained mixture of mostly natrolite with small amounts of gibbsite and diaspore.
