Laghman (Lagman; Nuristan) Province, Afghanistan Cinnamon-orange spessartine garnet crystal perched on top of skarn matrix. The spessartine crystal is lustrous and well crystallized. No apparent damage, though internally flawed due to geologic deformation. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x4x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 19 mm. |
