Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada

The steenstrupine measures 1.5 x 1.1 cm. Via Jean-Pierre Beckerich.
Very large (and quite rare) for MSH.
Not analyzed but similar material from a similar find was determined to be steenstrupine-(Ce).
The "xl" has a roughly hexagonal outline but the top and back have been sheared off and it may never have been truly euhedral. Only one or two ...

Ilimaussaq complex, Narsaq, Kitaa (West Greenland) Province, Greenland

Two sharp crystals of this extremely rare species, intergrown with each other on classic Greenland eudialyte-rich matrix. Though the cluster is larger, each crystal is to about 1 cm on edge 7.7 x 4.7 x 3.4 cm

2.1 x 1.8 x 1.0 cm. This is a large, sharp crystal of the species and relatively aesthetic as well. Ex. Carlton Davis Collection.

Grey grains and rough crystals of steenstrupine. Originally there was small grains of red villiaumite on the specimen too, but that mineral was dissolved with water. FOV: About 14 mm. The specimen was collected by the Danish collector Åse Mikkelsen, and it is now in the microcollection of OT. Ljostad
