Sparkling violet coloured balls of Strengite, an Iron Phosphate, have grown in a cavity in a Goethite/Martite matrix. The Strengite has superb lustre and is translucent with balls measuring to just over 5mm in width. This attractive miniature of these two phosphate species is covered with balls of lavender strengite to 4 mm and rockbridgeite to 2 mm. The crystal structure of both species is readily visible under magnification. The balls are incomplete at the edges of the specimen; otherwise it is undamaged. Ex. Arnold Goldstein collection. 3.5 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm.
