Lustrous black rectangular crystal of tantalite. Completely crystallized on 5 sides, the bottom is incomplete where matrix was attached. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #798. Overall size of mineral specimen: 14x10x9 mm. Size of individual crystals: 14 mm.

9.0 x 6.0 cm.

A most unusual specimen of large xls that appear to be MICROLITE that are, in fact, pseudomorphed by TANTALITE, with no MICROLITE remaining. From a very small find made in the summer of 2007, and very rare.
