Tremolite : ☐[Ca2][Mg5][(OH)2|Si8O22], Feldspar Group

Graphite quarry, Amstall, Mühldorf, Waldviertel, Lower Austria, Austria

Colourless tremolite crystals [SXRD-analysed (U. Kolitsch); originally obtained as "amstallite", supposedly coming from the first finder of the amstallite-bearing material] on a feldspar matrix. The specimen was found in 1981.

14.5 x 7.0 x 4.5 cm. Lustrous, white tremolite blades richly invest the striking elongate vug and are also part of the serpentine matrix on this excellent cabinet specimen from a classic Austrian locale - Totenkopf Mt. The tremolite and serpentine column is a highlight. There are vugs of tremolite on both sides of this seldom available material ...

Here is a bunch of dark green Tremolite fragments on white Calcite. I acquired it from the Dancey Tremolite Occurrence. It is 8.2 cm long, 6.1 cm wide, and 5.4 cm thick. From M. Adamowicz collection.

Gemmy green crystal of chrome tremolite without matrix. It appears to be terminated on the top end. Excellent transparency for this mineral species. Collected in 1965. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #243. Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x14x9 mm. Size of individual crystals: 30 mm.
