Yellow crystalline masses. Was labeled as 'hydrotungstite', which is greenish, but will dehydrate to the yellow tungstite seen here unless specimen is kept in a humid environment. S121-06

Kara-Oba W deposit, Betpakdala Desert (Bet-Pak-Dal Desert), Qaraghandy Oblysy (Karaganda Oblast'), Kazakhstan

Yellow tungstite ochres pseudomorph after Pb-bearing (up to 12 wt.% PbO) wolframite. Associating mineral is grey crystaline stolzite with strong lustre. FOV is 12x10 mm. Collected by Lidia P. Ermilova in the end of 50th on pit #3 of the locality. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.

Yellow tungstite ochres pseudomorph after Pb-bearing (up to 12 wt.% PbO) wolframite.
