Nishinomaki Mine, Gunma Prefecture, Kanto region, Honshu Island, Japan 2.2 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm. Wakabayashilite is an ULTRA-RARE arsenic antimony sulfide, UNIQUE in having feather-like, soft, acicular crystals. This superb example the Type Locality features a cluster of waxy, golden-yellow needles in a wheat sheaf-like cluster. This piece comes from an old museum collection, via the George Elling systematic collection. |
