Schmitt dolomite quarry, Altenmittlau, Freigericht, Spessart Mts, Hesse, Germany

To 1 mm long apple-green, spherical crystal aggregates of 'Zinc-Olivenite' (here: a mixture of 'Zinc-Olivenite' and Cuprian Adamite) on Arsenic Fahlerz and Dolomite. You can read more infos to my mineral discovery from summer 1995 and later analysed reference of this mineral(-mixture) from location Altenmittlau in 'Mineralienwelt' 6/99,19.

A very interesting thumbnail of Zincian Olivenite, with a single dark-green curved crystal measuring 10mm long and 6mm wide. The crystal has good lustre and a smooth curved outer surface. It is perched on a dark reddish-grey Iron Oxide matrix, on which are smaller dark emerald green Olivenite crystals of the same crystal form. Displays ...
