Rar-el-Anz, Cherrat Wadi, Casablanca Prefecture, Grand Casablanca Region, Morocco A fine example of crystals of the copper-antimony sulfide chalcostibite that have been partially replaced by bright blue azurite, a phenomenon peculiar to this locality near Casablanca. There is unusually good crystal definition for this type of specimen, on this piece. RARE! 4.2 x 3.2 x 1.7 cm |

Rar-el-Anz, Cherrat Wadi, Casablanca Prefecture, Grand Casablanca Region, Morocco 3.5 x 2.6 x 0.9 cm. A RARE and showy pseudomorph of lustrous, striated, azure-blue azurite after chalcostibite crystals from a MOST UNCOMMON locality - Rar-el-Anz, Morocco. Chalcostibite is an uncommon sulfosalt and this pseudo is REALLY GOOD, even with the contacted termination. |
