Azurite : Cu3[OH|CO3]2

Touissit, Touissit District, Oujda-Angad Province, Oriental Region, Morocco

3.8 x 3.4 x 1.9 cm. What can I say about this wonderful azurite mini that the picture doesn’t say? It is obviously just a super specimen, in many ways. First, the crystals are sharp, elongated prisms, perfectly terminated. They also are aesthetically positioned at the center of the sparing matrix in a really pleasing arrangement. And, the luster ...

Azurite : Cu3[OH|CO3]2

Touissit, Touissit District, Oujda-Angad Province, Oriental Region, Morocco

4.0 x 2.4 x 0.9 cm. A classic, sharp and lustrous, spear-point cluster of tabular, parallel-growth, midnight-blue azurite crystals from the 1970s finds at the mines at Touissit, Morocco. This stunning, two-sided specimen has the very desirable "electric blue" highlights, for which Touissit is well-known. Ex. Dr. Gary Hansen Collection.

An apparent v-twin of Azurite from Touissit, Morrocco. Measures 1.1cm on edge. This mineral oddity was found on the discount shelf of a local Tucson rock shop. I've never heard of anything like it.

inCREDible! Words and pics cannot adequately convey how fantastic this specimen is and I rate it as hands-down one of the best azurite thumbs I have ever seen or handled at any price. Each and every sharp blade is perfect: superb luster, great form, and a deep azure blue color that is easily seen because the crystals have such a fantastic and ...
