The luster is superb, and the habit unusually pyramidal and 3-dimensional. The very tiny bits of minute wear along a few edges does not detract at all from the aesthetics of the specimen as a competition-worthy thumbnail! It is quite lovely. Tsumeb Mine (Tsumcorp Mine), Tsumeb, Otjikoto (Oshikoto) Region, Namibia Thin plate of quartz matrix with parallel crystals of blue azurite protruding from both sides. The azurite varies from highly lustrous to dull where it is beginning to alter. All crystals are terminated, no damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x4x4 cm.
