San Genaro Mine, Castrovirreyna District, Castrovirreyna Province, Huancavelica Department, Peru

Excellent specimen of white quartz crystals up to 1 cm overgrown with lustrous white barite crystals to 1 cm. Also small, dark gray sulfide (Freibergite? Galena?) crystals mixed in. Very clean, no damage. Ex. Durkos collection #782. Overall size of mineral specimen: 16x9x5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 3-10 mm.

A striking, pristine and rich ore specimen of lustrous pastel pink bladed barite crystals to 2.9 cm growing off of a crust of sparkly pyrargyrite crystals on sulfide matrix from the famous San Genaro Mine of Peru. Rich specimen of either species! 7.2 x 6.8 x 3.8 cm
