Up to now regarded as Cobaltomenite. Alfredo Petrov analyzed many of similar items and they were all Ahlfeldites. Very small amounts of Co let Ahlfeldite get pink. Picture width 4 mm. Collection and photograph Stephan Wolfsried

Virgen de Surumi mine (Pacajake mine; Pakajake mine), Pakajake Canyon (Pacajake Canyon), Chayanta Province, Potosí Department, Bolivia

Group of ahlfeldite crystals with more cobalt in the structure. Associated minerals include, molbdomenite, anglesite, chalcomenite and penroseite. Field of view, 1mm x 1mm. This specimen has been analyzed by micropobe and XRD. Brent Thorne specimen and photograph.
