A 2.0 x 0.2 cm vein of metallic akinite frozen within a 5.0 x 4.2 x 3.4 cm massive quartz matrix. Very nice and rich for this species. Ex Peter Gillis with previous label from Georg Gebhard.

Cucomungo Spring, Tule Canyon District, Esmeralda Co., Nevada, USA

2.9 x 1.8 x 1.1 cm. Aikinite is a relatively uncommon lead, copper, bismuth sulfosalt. This representative toenail is richly covered with metallic-bright, lead-gray, layered sheets of aikinite microcrystals and is from the much less common for the species Nevada locality of Cucomungo Spring in Esmeralda County.
