Jacobs Ruby Mine, Cowee Valley, Macon Co., North Carolina, USA

Rhodoite garnet, this shade of light colored rhodolite seems to be somewhat rarer even though it is the main color that comes from this region of North Carolina. The container here is 37mm across. The photo was taken in 2004 by Rex Biggers.
