Case beryl prospects (Case quarries), Portland, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, USA A nice specimen of bismuth minerals as a thin coating on feldspar. The area of interest measures about 35mm across. Yellow bismite and green bismutite are present. Some minor bismuthinite is also visible under magnification. The area around the bismuth minerals has been stained brown by iron. Self collected 2008.
