This type of phillipsite comes from the same find as similar looking aggregates of gobbinsite. (See http://www.mindat.org/photo-172190.html) However a closer look reveals squarish cross sections and pyramidal terminations.

These phillipsite balls seem to be an indicator for faujasite-Na in the Poudrette pegmatite "contact zone". The "phillipsite" ID was made optically by WH. However according to Horvath (Lapis July/Aug 2000), only phillipsite-K is found in this environment.
