Frontenac Co., Ontario, Canada A sharp, dark green rhombic prism of prismatine in a granulite matrix. The crystal is about 2.5 cm long (centimetre scale in background). The sample was collected by a graduate student from Queen's University. The photographer, E. Smith, has since pulverized the crystal for detailed XRD work as part of an undergraduate course at Queen's. |

Granulite outcrop, Waldheim, Döbeln, Saxony, Germany 3.2x2.7x2.2cm. A white and pinkish matrix has a good prism of dark green to black prismatine to 0.8cm with other smaller prisms also present. A rich specimen. |
