Irregular crystal of gem quality green hiddenite variety of spodumene. The specimen is fully crystallized on 4 sides, though the faces are very irregular. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #774. Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x8x7 mm. Size of individual crystals: 15 mm.

Fine large "hiddenite" crystals from North Carolina are not common and have always been prized as "American classics". This example is superb. A gemmy green undamaged double terminated crystal measuring 5.1 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm in size without matrix. The color is very nice. Ex Gene and Sally LaBerge collection.
