Calcite (Var: Cobaltoan Calcite) : (Ca,Co)CO3

Aghbar Mine (Arhbar Mine), Aghbar, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

One of the most intensely hot pink colorful cobaltian Calcites that I have seen from this locality. The crystals are pretty aerial and the fact that they are placed on crystallized Pyrite matrix increases their beauty.

Calcite : CaCO3

Aghbar Mine (Arhbar Mine), Aghbar, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

BRIGHT pink VERY gemmy crystals of this much sought-after calcite variety, not at all easy to get in good specimens without bruises! This plate has unusually pretty pastel pink color! My attitude about these cobaltos is to buy them now and stash away. I have never seen them in abundance save for this large find of last year, and i doubt it will ...

Group, on matrix, formed by the scalenohedron and the rhombohedron on the terminations. The color is intense and uniform and makes the specimen very attractive.

Calcite (Var: Cobaltoan Calcite) : (Ca,Co)CO3

Aghbar Mine (Arhbar Mine), Aghbar, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

Quite simply the most intense neon pink-red cobaltian calcite i have ever seen, from ANYwhere...I couldn't believe the stuff was real. The crystals are to almost 1 centimeter in size, and pseudocubic, packed together to form a solid , translucent, layer over the matrix. This seems to be the highest quality cobaltian calcite yet from small pockets ...

Calcite (Var: Cobaltoan Calcite) : (Ca,Co)CO3

Aghbar Mine (Arhbar Mine), Aghbar, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

Cobaltoan calcites with large crystals are not easy to get, so with a batch having come out of Morocco recen we have been buying them where affordable from the various dealers to whom they were dispersed. This cluster features fine, well-defined crystals with good pyramidal terminations. Some appear to have mysterious orange scalenohedral phantoms ...

Calcite : CaCO3

Aghbar Mine (Arhbar Mine), Aghbar, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

Beautiful pink scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 8 mm in length are completely covering the top of a 7.2 x 5.1 x 3 cm matrix. These are quite neat, with the prism faces opaque and the rhombohedral terminal faces transparent. The only damaged crystals that I can find are on the extreme edges of the matrix, a product of removing the specimen ...
