Stari Trg Mine, Trepča complex, Trepča valley, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo Large cluster of complex crystals of colorless calcite with minor pyrite in the matrix. The calcite crystals are a flattened rhombic form, with complex edges showing many parallel faces resembling serrations. No damage. Fluoresces orange under UV light. Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x8x6 cm. Size of individual crystals: 10-25 mm. |

Stari Trg Mine, Trepča complex, Trepča valley, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo A part rhombic crystal of manganocalcite has pinkish brown seconadary coating of the same mineral. On the display face there is an attractive \"cross\" of stepped rhombic manganocalcite orientated along the main crystal cleavage planes. The back faces of the specimen are coated with greyish calcite and some minor arsenopyrite. |
