Cassiterite : SnO2, Muscovite : KAl2[(OH)2|AlSi3O10]

Beryl-Scheelite deposit, Huya village, Mt Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China

Black and white. But its luster, perfection and the nice soft white Mica give a great contrast... For me it is like a jewel with its unquestionable quality.

Highly lustrous, partially striated black cassiterite crystals to 3.0 cm aesthetically set on a bed of pearly muscovite blades from Ping Wu, China. Quite of these have come out recently, but this is an excellent example with nice association. 4.7 x 4.4 x 4.0 cm

Excellent crystal, both for its size and luster and the definition of faces and edges. The twinning is evident, enhanced by the esthetic position of the crystal on the matriz of Muscovite and minor Scheelite. The specimen has a great quality.
