Himalaya Mine (Himalaya pegmatite; Himalaya dikes), Gem Hill, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California, USA
A bluish rosette formation of Cleavelandite on the side of a specimen containing Schorl, Smokey Quartz and last but not least, bi-color pink and green Tourmaline crystals. Neat because I hardly ever see Himalaya tourmalines in matrix. The little yellowish blobs are Lepidolite. Ex. Nelson collection. About 8 cm. |
