A rich and unusual mix of minerals on such a small specimen. We have small spherical druses of the rare sulfate chalcoalumite, rare silicate ajoite [not or wrongly analysed, could be a cyanotrichite-group mineral] along with brochantite on native copper and cuprite. 2 x 1.5 x 1.1 cm. Chalcoalumite : CuAl4[(OH)12|SO4] · 3H2O

Bisbee, Warren District, Mule Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

A striking specimen of vugs of robins egg blue botryoidal chalcoalumite interspersed with bright dark blue azurite and a few blebs of malachite. This excellent combo piece is from Bisbee so it is both old and rare, but also very beautiful! 4.7 x 4.6 x 2.3 cm
