A piece of vuggy gossan matrix has a fairly good growth of unfaded bluish/green chalcophyllite crystals to 2.5mm. The crystals take the classic hexagonal form in stacks or individual translucent crystals.

Wheal Gorland, St Day United Mines (Poldice Mines), Gwennap area, Camborne - Redruth - St Day District, Cornwall, England, UK

Old time specimen of Chalcophyllite in large crystals from the famous Wheal Gorland mine. This piece is no dump material and is then in the best case from the restart period of 1906-09 but I presume it is from the middle of the 19th century as the richest parts of the mine where worked around 1820-1830.
