Definition of line oiler

An apparatus inserted in a line conducting air or steam to an air- or steam-actuated machine that feeds small controllable amounts of lubricating oil into the air or steam. Also called lubricator; potato.

Synonym of: line lubricator, air-line lubricator, oil pot, oiler, pineapple, pot
