Definition of ttg

An abbreviation for Tonalite, Trondhjemite, and Granodiorite. Found in granitic complexes and batholiths and compose most of the preserved Archean crust on Earth. They contain large infolded remnants of supercrustal rocks as well as numerous inclusions of surrounding greenstone belts.
