Moissanite
Puiva Mount, Saranpaul, Berezovo district, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia
Flattened tabular crystal of light marine-green moissanite 0,2 mm in diameter and formed by combination of hexagonal bipyramydes and predominate pinakoids. It was extracted by me from heavy concentrates, separated from rocks of quartz vein #699 on Puiva Mt. This vein is mined for ultra-pure quartz. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.
