Spherical crystal groups composed of hexagonal plates of white galloplumbogummite with a clear-white crystal of otjisumeite in a vug of chalcocite, germanite, and renierite. I obtained this specimen from Joy Desor, who analyzed the galloplumbogummite with EDS (see child photo for analytical data).

EDS confirmed galloplumbogummite spheres in germanite renierite ore, accompanied by otjisumeite (not in picture), unknown bright phase (lead phospate without Cl), and stolzite (not in picture). This sample shows, that only the chemical environment determines whether it is plumbogummite or galloplumbogummite. Several similar looking spheres in a ...
white galloplumbogummite xls on germanite/renierite matrix. EDS analysed
Diamond shaped crystal of galloplumbogummite on a germanite, renierite matrix with an undetermined copper arsenate and tsumcorite. Acquired from and analyzed by Joy Desor. Brent Thorne specimen and photograph.

White spherical crystals composed of hexagonal plates of galloplumbogummite with a clear-white crystal of otjisumeite, on a matrix of chalcocite, renierite, and germanite. I obtained this specimen from Joy Desor, who analyzed the galloplumbogummite with EDS (see child photo for analytical data). This is the other half of the vug on the ...

Diamond shaped crystal of galloplumbogummite and tsumcorite on a germanite/renierit ore
White aggregate of the ultra-rare and unique member of the plumbogummite group: the Ga- and Ge-dominant member galloplumbogummite. This is one of just 5 currently approved Ga-dominant mineral species, also standing for the first member of the alunite supergroup to contain essential tetravalent cation. Analyzed material.
Spherical clusters of hexagonal crystals in a vug of Germanite/Chalcocite. Specimen confirmed by EDS, by Joy Desor. Specimen Liam Schofield, photo Joy Desor
EDS confirmed galloplumbogummite rhomb at the right lower corner with an unidentified pseudohexagonal? Ga-Zn-Si phase in the upper part of the image. EDS data in child photo.
