Lazulite, Muscovite, Quartz

One of the most confusing lazulite-bearing samples I have ever seen. The yellowish central part consists of ca. 80% muscovite, intermixed with ca. 20% tiny (tens of microns) svanbergite grains and some blue lazulite blasts. This is surrounded by a narrow zone of quartzite very rich in lazulite, grading outward to quartzite with only very few scattered lazulite grains. Any guess concerning the origin of this weird sample is highly welcome! Outcrop at Frauenkammer lazulite locality, polished slab, field of view 8 cm, sample FK010a (AN680).
