Ref.: Rocks & Min.:10:34,58. A zinc mine featuring open pit workings. Started 1859 and closed 1893. Originally owned by the Bergen Paint Zinc Co. and then the Friedensville Zinc Co. This mine exploited the outcrop of the Friedensville ore body subsequently mined with the Friedensville mine by the New Jersey Zinc Co.
