A former Mn occurrence/mine located in sec. 29, T12N, R13W, G&SRM, 8 miles S of Signal, on private land (located claim). Operated during the period 1953-1954. Owned by R.J. Carpenter, Arizona (1973). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a Mn deposit hosted in the Supai formation. The ore body(ies) strike N20W and dip 30SW. Ore bodies Nos. 1 & 2 are fissure veins while No. 3 is a shear zone. The primary mode of origin was contact metasomatism. Primary ore control was igneous activity. Wallrock alteration is slight (propylitic, advanced argillic). Enrichment by hard ore along fractures. Local rocks include Middle Miocene to Oligocene sedimentary rocks.

Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings.

Production statistics: Year: 1954 (period = 1953-1954) (accurate): ^18.3 weight percent Mn.
