Three phonolite plugs on a line stretching 60 to 90 km ENE from the city of Pucallpa, or 10 to 40 km from the brazilian border, between the alluvial plain of the Ucayali river and the Serra do Divisor, the range of hills along that part of the border between Peru and Brazil. The phonolite intruded Cretaceous Vivian Formation sandstones. Tropical weathering has altered some of the mafic minerals to iron oxide.
