Pahtohavare Cu-Au deposit, Kiruna district, Lappland, Sweden

A proterozoic Au-Cu deposit of epigenetic type, in a volcaniclastic unit in the Viscaria Formation of the Kiruna greenstone belt.
The greenstone consists of mafic volcanic rocks with pillow lavas, mafic sills and albitized rocks, including tuffites, black schists and mafic sills, together with carbonates and mineralized zones. (Lindblom et al 1996).
