One of the many smaller coppermines in (south)central Sweden. The original strike was found 1753 by some peasants who gave it to (1st) lieutenant Horting. A shareholding company started mining 1755 and continued with some success until the end of the century. Production figures exist also for 11 different years during the years 1800-23.
Prof. N H Magnusson had some thought that the mineralization might have occured twice.
