Ref.: Min.Rec.:20:463. A large quarry, excavated in the Lockatong argillite near Eureka (a locale vs. a populated place)and just west of the end of Street Road.
The part of the quarry that produced smokey quartz and anatase in the 1970's is flooded. Quarrying has moved southwestward in a major extention of the original pit.
