An underground mine consisting of 1 shaft, 1 adit, and 5 levels. Organized in 1853 and worked until 1871. Limited work was done between 1878 and 1911, at which time the mine was bought by Mass Consolidated Copper Co. Today the mine is owned by Red Metal Explorations. Produced approx. 3 million lbs. of refined copper. Excellent specimens of copper and copper/silver "halfbreeds" have been recovered from the poor rock piles.
