One of two small adjoining china clay pits on Belowda Beacon (Belovely Clayworks is the northern pit, Belowda the southern one.
The dates of working are uncertain, but the pit appears to have worked either from 1906 or 1909 till 1928.
All that remains are the two small water-filled pits, some low tramming burrows and the shell of the main building of the last working.
