Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910), Bayley:12, 346; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpts.: (1880):110 & 123. Located about 1 mile SW of Pattenburg. A small iron mine or prospect started December, 1879 and closed 3 months later. Produced only about 25 tons of ore.
