An iron mine in magnetite ore located East of the center of Split Rock Pond. Started before 1868 and closed before 1873, restarted 1878 and closed 1881. Ore vein was 2½ feet thick on the South end and 5 feet thick on the North end. Featured a cut 120 feet deep and ½ to 1 mile long.
